Enjoyable / Terrible contacts

I enjoyed it. The cinematography was beautiful.

The part about him flunking ethics should have been chopped. I would have rather he had been a medical student on Winter break. For someone to go through that much schooling and respond to an essay like that is unlikely. He would have written just what they were wanting.

The Doc turned assistant showed great concern and compassion when he removed Adam’s nerves, but very little compassion elsewhere which was surprising. Maybe he was more worried that his experiment was falling apart.

It wasn’t compassion for the hunter that prevented Vick from killing him, but more about worry having a search party come to the cabin.

And wouldn’t suffocation be preferred instead of methods damaging to internal organs? Or do the knife, bullets, and snowmobile make a better movie?

And how does anything that has been outside in below freezing weather for a month or more get up and thaw out? Did Adam bring him inside to thaw?

And could the producers have used worse contact lenses for Adam?

I don’t want to spoil it, but the twist at the end was a surprise. Overall it was enjoyable.

No,
He would NOT have written just what they wanted, it was made very clear that Adam was a guy who bucked the system constantly ;)

That was the point, kind of, for part of the original post. I agree with your point, because I don't know if the ethics class would be the first 'checks and balances' class in his pre/medical life/career to clash with his philosophy, but at the same time, with that kind of attitude, would he have already made it so far in said career. It's a solid point either way, but it seems kind of trivial from the production standpoint because of course they just want a mechanism to drive the story and the character.

The contacts were good from a distance, but didn't work for closeups.
