I'm sorry, but this movie was just plain boring. Didn't make enough sense and to be honest, I didn't care about any of the characters enough to even try and figure out what was going on. So, a guy keeps geting killed, the idiot who keeps killing him is trying to keep him alive badly and erm...that's it. Why should we care? This is another one of these movies that people "like" because all the critics "like" it, then 12 months down the line people will wonder what exactly they saw in it.

Random? You didn't see the ending coming? It "made sense" the way this movie went.

The kind of movie your talking about that people go insane over and then forget about a week later would be more like Spiderman, or Blade 3, Mission Impossible 3, etc. Those are movies that are hyped and hyped and you buy the DVD and the happy meal with the toys from the movie, and then you forget about it.

If you wanted to introduce somebody to modern horror there are a few good choices.

The Audition
A Tale of two sisters
Cube
Subject Two
Sympathy for Mr Vengeance

These are great movies that are not main stream.

The kind of movies your talking about, the trash that you forget about the week after you've bought your ticket are

The Ring
The Grudge
Final Destination 3
The Village

Trying to explain how brilliant something like this is to somebody who doesn't get it is like trying to tell a 4 year old why Mark Twain is better than Disney...

Its funny...dcadapen-1's plot summary:"So, a guy keeps geting killed, the idiot who keeps killing him is trying to keep him alive badly and erm...that's it." makes me want to see the film. Why does the guy who keeps killing him want to keep him alive, how does he keep killing him, how does he bring him back to life, what happens when he brings them back.

That plot sounds a lot better than "a family runs afoul of a cannibal family in the desert". I did LOVE The Hills Have Eyes though.

I already have a ticket for Subject 2 at the Fantasia film fest.

I think that's the point that a lot of people here are trying to make. all of these questions are raised but not a single answer, in my opinion, was ever offered. there was no resolution for anything, just a lot of 'what ifs' and no follow-through. anyone could make a movie, raising interesting point after interesting point, but without the answers, even the suggestion of motivation, there's nothing there. in short, anyone can ask a question, only true brilliance (as many of the 'lovers' keep touting this movie as) can answer.

oh, and to everyone using your instead of you're, please stop. you can't insult someone and use impropper grammar in the same sentence. it's against the rules or something.

Dude. Maybe you didn't like the premise of movie, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to follow it. There were really only 2 friggin characters in the movie. Are you 1 of many with "Attention Defecit?"

Ha! It wasn't that bad..I'd rather watch this than shell out $$ to see Miami Vice, that "Dupree" crap, etc. Why does Hollywood have to dupe every movie as of late? At least this has a bit of a TWIST rather than a knock-off in somebody's vision. What's next, "Munsters: the Movie?"

I don't get how you could find it hard to follow... guy kills other guy and brings him back to life agaain and agaaain and-- well, you get it (or do you? ;D ) I do agree that it was boring though. And just kind of depressing after awhile, in a way that wasn't fun to watch.

This was just really really boring.

I watch probably 4 or 5 movies a week and this is the second or third movie I have not waited to see the end for. It was just too boring.
