I think acting is just about the most self-destructive job because it's so easy to forget yourself among your characters who are the ones your fans love. And young people suddenly getting more money than they or their families know what to do with is usually a disaster. In short, they quickly lose it and feel stupid. Same would happen to you.

I love movies. They enrich my life, so I feel the actors deserve every penny they can get.

It's plain and simple, I won't kill myself, I'm not a panzy. Think of the people you leave behind or any other such factors. Used to go to a bar in LA that he would go to. It was sad - he was always there alone at the bar and would sometimes talk to the bartender, but most of the time he'd just sit and drink, and maybe watch the TV. I felt bad whenever I saw him. Never did go up to him, though. I just figured he wanted to be alone.

That said, I don't think it was suicide, but it could've been a push to the edge as things tend to get when you get a bit more success, which tends to be coupled with boredom and depression for many artists. Kink/Fetish is more popular than you'd think with a decent amount of Hollywood actors/directors/producers, but then again, it is LA. (and yes, I'm aware he didn't die in LA, but that's where he normally lived and worked).

Enough of my babble, just sharing my Carradine story cause I saw this thread and it flooded my mind with memories.

well this is the place to babble!
It's interesting he was in a movie about suicide and ended up this way. He seemed like a less liked Clint Eastwood with a few more shady secrets, but still interesting person.

It'd be even more interesting to go back to that bar and tell him not to do you know what in closets or else like you were a prophet who saw his future. He probably would have got pissed but hell it'd be interesting.
