My review (although I am not very good at doing them).

I watched 'The Wild Stallion' this afternoon on Sky Movies. I don't want to go too much into it, but there are other superior horse films out there. 'The Silver Brumby' and The Black Stallion trilogy are such examples. This movie is so badly scripted that I felt nothing, but embarrassment for the actors who had to say their lines. Like for no reason whatsoever, one of the two-brothers, while 'joking' said he had heard on the news that a person dies every thirty-seconds from a heart attack. This was neither funny, nor did it pertain to anything in the scene. It just came completely out of the blue. There were also some atrocious examples of acting. Particularly from Miranda Cosgrove and Corbin Allred. Neither gave their characters any sense of realism, nor were they capable of delivering any believable dialogue. Robert Wagner was a one-dimensional bad guy who was hardly seen at all. Fred Ward, who like Wagner, was criminally given very little to do. However, actors like Danielle Chuchran, Scotty Meek, Paul Sorvino and Bob Lanoue all gave credible performances. Cinematography was okay, but I thought they could have better utilized the beautiful scenery of Utah. The plot (as you would imagine in a horse film) is predictable, but at least it didn't have a cutesy, sickly sweet ending. I would recommend this to both boys and girls up to the age of sixteen. Or to people who just want to sit and watch some stunning horses.
