HELP with DVD Audio Commentary Translation

I've bought a set of the Limited Edition DVD set.

Only the movie has English and Korean subtitles (for both theater and director's cut.) However, I played with the Korean menu, and found that there are two audio commentary sound tracks, one with the comments between the directors and his staff and one with comments between the four main leads, including Junki.

However, there is absolutly no English subtitle for these audio commentary on the movie DVD. And for the supplemental DVD, no Engliksh subtitle either.

I visited Chinese Baidu Bar for the King and the Clown, and I was directed to read the summar at the Twitch review site.

I am posting this to seek if there is any Korean/English viewer that can help provide the full transcript in English for the supplemental disc and the two tracks of audio commentary?

If you can, that will be great! If not, can someone point me to any where to seek for a full translated transcript?

Thank you.

Maybe I'm the only Korean to post messages on this IMDB K&C board. It must take too much time and efforts to translate the full script of the two audio commentaries, plus my English is not so good to do it. I'm sorry I can't help you.

Hi Mirager,

Thank you for responding. Actually, you are my last hope. After I saw your correction notes at the Twitch site, I figured that you must be a K&C viewer who is able to read Korean and write in perfect English. So, I followed your trail and found this site to make my plead.

I'm not quite sure why you said your English is not so good to do the translation....because I think your English writing is perfectly fine. Probably better than me, and most of my co-workers here in US.

Now, if it is because it would take too much time and efforts to translate both audio commentary soundtracks, will you be able to do just the audio commentary sound track with the actors? I think Twitch gave a pretty detailed summary on the Director and the Staff, so I am satisifed with their summary. However, they only have couple of paragraphs and didn't say much on the Actors' audio commentary. I think all it said was the actors have lots of silent moments and nothing too new and etc.... But, that means less for you to translate.

Also, if you do translate the actors' audio commentary, I will not be the only reader. I will have my friend, who is a part-time translator in Taiwan to help translate your full script into Chinese. And I will personally publish the full translated transcript at the major Chinese JK and K&C sites. I will also publish your translated English transcript at the Soompi English site. So, your translated transcript will be shared by all K&C lovers across all the JK and K&C sites around the world.

Of course, I will give you full credit for translation!!!

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Translating the 2 hour long conversation into English is quite a burden to me. It must take a lot of time and efforts because I'm not a native English speaker. Do you have any friend who can translate Japanese? My Japanese is better than my English.

In addition, the actors' commentary is somewhat boring. The director's commentary is a lot better than that. (Most of all, I'm not Lee Jun-ki's fan at all. ^_^;)

Hi Mirager,

Thank you. Wow, you are very talented multi-lingual person. I truly think your English is excellent and I'm not quite sure why you think it would be hard for you. But, of course, if you can translate the transcript in to Japanese, that will be okay too.

I do have Japanese friend who can probably help translate the transcript into English for me.

But, I thought of it some more, it may be the easiest if you just provide me with the full transcript in Korean, then I'll look around to find an interpretor to help translate your Korean script into English and/or Chinese.

Hopefully, if you do the transcript in Korean only, it may still be time consuming for you, but you can skip the translation part. Then, may be you'll have the time to do the translation for both audio commentary tracks ^-^.....

If you are okay with this suggestion, please let me know, and I'll go around to look for translation support.

Thank you.

OK, then I'll make the full KOREAN script of the actors' commentary.
but I can't say when the work is going to be completed because I'm busy now.

OK. Thanks a lot! I'll look around for someone to help with the translation then. You are the GREATEST!!!!!
