The Kissing Scene

I read somewhere that the film was originally released without the kissing scene but that it was added in later. Can anyone fill in the details and timeline on this?

reply

Hi, pacific_rim_lady - the kissing scene (which is really brief) was cut from the domestic Korean theatrical release (and DVD), but was included in the "international" release. It's available on any DVD sets (at least the official ones) which include that release.

If you want more information around the production, you can check out the unofficial fansite, http://www.wang-ui-namja.com/.
(Full disclosure - I was involved in that site.)

It wasn't part of the script right? I saw BTS for it, and LJK was pretty surpised. He stayed professional though.

reply

Yeah - if I remember correctly, it was improvised (along with a few other things); they kept pretty much to the shooting schedule, so they had some time to do some experimenting.

BTS?

BTS = Behind The Scenes?

Anyway, please, do tell. How exactly did you manage to see these things?

reply

It's part of the extras on the DVD. I have the limited edition box, though; I don't know how many of the extras made it to any other boxes.

Actually Lee Jun Ki said so himself that the scene had to be while his eyes were closed. So it was supposed to be in there originally.
