Unlike other reviewers, I did not find the leads all that attractive

Other reviewers found the leads to be attractive; I did not. In fact, I found both of them to be distracting because they lacked screen/sex appeal. I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

(And the dialogue was just flat out painful. One of the worst screenplays ever. No energy; no wit; just dull and laborious. The only one whose lines had any meaning were her fiance's -- particularly about relationships and hell. And they lasted all of 5 minutes or less.)

Somewhat ironically, I happened to like the ending of the film better than the film itself. At least it was honest and didn't go for some stupid sappy Hollywood ending. It's just a shame the story itself was so vacuous.

Interesting because I felt the same way at first. As the movie progressed they eventually grew on me and I kinda liked it because in so many Korean movies, the actors and actresses are simply too cute, almost cookie cutter cute. No variety what so ever and to me that doesn't reflect the general population.

The lead guy kinda reminded me of a young Sonny Landham from the movie Predator. They have the same bone structure and he nearly had the same hairstyle as Sonny when he did Predator, except a tad bit shorter.
