Either Nader Is Insane, Stupid, Or Just Plain Evil

Lots of liberals like Jesse Jackson could have also run in 2000 but they knew it would only help elect Bush so they didn't. Any sane person might have gotten a clue when all that Republican dough started rolling in for his campaign! I've often thought that I might kill myself if I accidentally killed a kid while driving...I definitely would off myself if I was Nader.

Thanks, Eternalbadluckcharm, for the list of Nader's achievements. As you suggest, the list could go on much further.

About 1 1/2 generations of Americans don't even know about Nader's Raiders' achievements. They take these things for granted, as if they were somehow always there. The filmmakers estimate that seat belts and air bags alone might have saved an estimated 250,000 lives. You could probably equal that number if you consider OSHA, cigarette labelling, and lead protection in dental x-rays. I have asked at least four dentists where and how those lead 'jackets' got to be law. They were young guys and simply replied: 'oh, that's government regulation'. No further comment. Not a word about Nader because they just didn't know.

Younger generations need to be reminded just how great this guy was and still is. He could be the most atypical and flat-out most unusual 'politician' in the world. Who ever heard of a politico with unshakable principles, who can't be bought, who doesn't seduce interns, who avoids scandals, who wears $100. suits and 50-cent ties, and works 18 hours a day (even at the age of 72) in the service of his beliefs? America should be proud to have this guy instead of demonizing him.

Yeah, it's not like Republicans or George Bush himself is to blame. It's obviously Nader's fault. Perfect logic.

Gore couldn't win TN (Home state) or AR (Clinton's state). Plus 10,000,000 registered D's voted for Bush.

Sour grapes.

Yeah, it's totally sour grapes, as the Democrat assistant prof of government at Harvard (was his name Burden?) explained when he was describing how he analyzed all the data on Nader's campaign in this film.
