Hi. Why weren't any of the patients allowed to have sugar packets, salt, pepper, ketchup, or mustard? Wouldn't they WANT the patients to gain weight any way they can? I've been trying to figure out why they were confiscating the sugar, gum, and candy. I'm interested if anyone knows. Thanks.

It's because the patients have sneaked the items from their trays do that the staff thinks they have had more calories than they actually had.

They probably used the sugar right before they had their blood sugar checked to make it higher.
