Drugs and smoking and drinking for years and years and years? Funny thing is, he will probably live till 95 while others who were vegetarians, exercised, and did all the right things will probably pass before him. But he really does look like he was a drunk and a drug addict. A hard life shows in your face.

You gotta realize most drugs only kill SOME people. The overdose rate for alcohol is way higher per-user than cocaine, for example (3X for daily users, 15X for occasional users, I have the stats saved on my harddrive somewhere). Only 10% of smokers get lung cancer (tho there's plenty of other ways to die). In the end, 1 in 3 people die from cancer, and they aren't necessarily drug users. Genetics are probably more important than what you actually do. Look at George Burns... smoking cigars past age 100!
