A Little Gem of a Movie

I loved this film. Who knew the Bobcat Goldthwait was capable of making one of the best indie films in the last few years? Funny, intelligent, extremely daring, wonderfully acted, and with some genuinely complex and interesting things to say about relationships and families. What's not to love about this film? More power to Bobcat and all involved.

I agree completely.

I also agree. This was a cute movie.

I have to agree with you. I was greatly surprised by this movie. The fact that it is rough around the edges and obviously of low production cost just lent it a greater air of credibility. I am surprised that those that criticize it are so hung up on her embarrassing act which was far from the main point of this movie. These people are exactly who it is aimed at and are the true antagonists of this movie. Of the things that I have thought about Bobcat, smart, funny and pioneering were never among them....until now.

My jaw dropped when I saw that Bobcat wrote and directed this. I never thought he had anything so thought provoking in his mind.

Bit late to agree with you all but yes, lovely little film (considering the main premise). Understated, charming lead actress and people and relationships you can actually believe in. An unexpected gem.

You're absolutely right. The dog-blowing thing isn't really interesting at all, it's all the secrets that couples keep among themselves that are. Should you really expose yourself completely to the one you love? And if you do, and it is true love, shouldn't that thing you once did, be of no significance at all? Great movie, and Bobcat has since showed his directing skills with the equally good World's Greatest Dad. Keep going dude!
