Saw much of this movie on Youtube and have to say I was tremendously impressed with AS' acting in the wedding night scene. The first couple of times I watched it, I thought it was Sara who was crying and who said, "I hate you". The third time I saw it, I realized it was Kalle. It broke my heart to hear the piteous crying, and I am now so in awe of Alexander's talent. Looking forward very much to seeing what Alan Ball is going to have him doing on True Blood next season!

i know! second season is going by fast and from the books, it only gets better with alex/eric haha. and Om Sara was so heartwrenching and realistic, thats its sad, how two people who cant communicate and try to force a relationship. but great film , casting, and so on.

Yeah, I totally didn't get that scene - so he rapes his wife on their wedding night - she leaves, finds a new life for herself then sees him again which we assume is atleast a year later with a new woman & they act all nostalgic about their relationship???! Like, hello - the bastard RAPED YOU!!!! That's not something you just 'forgive & forget'. I was expecting her to have a bit of a breakdown - not look longingly!

Also, what was the deal with him being so reluctant to have sex BEFORE they got married? He rebuffed her advances SO MANY TIMES or couldn't get it up. It made out he was not into her sexually AT ALL then asked her to marry him? Huh?!! Am I missing something??!

My God, he was unbelievably hot in the film but a complete bastard!
