Yeah... I know everybody hates this game but I think it's pretty awsome myself. I bought it used at gamestop for $20 and I played it straight through when I got home. I just started it over on "Hard" which I guess just doubles the number of zombies. The only level I didn't like was the mounted gun level, which was the definition of "spotty hit detection".
The game is flawed, yes, extremley flawed. I understand online is broken and totally unmanagable (if you do get into a game, which would be a miracle, it will be lagged as *beep* but the core game is pretty sweet. Chopping zombies in the face with the axe never, repeat NEVER, gets old. The golf club is alot of fun too. The molotov cocktails are crazy, and the shotgun is pretty sweet but too powerful.
The game is also short, you can beat it in 2 hours depending on your skill level, and the graphics are nothing to speak of.
But people, the game is FUN. It doesn't hold up for "leet" Halo 2 players, but if you're a George Romero fan you'll like this game. Tearing zombie jaws off with my fire axe was the most fun I've had in a videogame in a long time.
Also, running through a cornfield being chased by 10 zombies is pretty fun, and the hospital levels are sick.

i hate when people say "oh this game sucks my ass" and "its the worst piece of crap out". geezus this game is only $20.00 new, what did you expect? halo? socom? granted the game has several flaws but i spoke with the developers and they were extremely rushed to finish this game, so over half of the features weren't added. i come from a site www.undeadgames.com and we have really made this game into something (PC version only, sorry xbox boys). we have made several maps for this game and are cranking out more everyday. there are also 2 single player mods coming out and im revamping the original single player myself. here is the list of maps we currently have.

Dawn of the Dead 78 and 04

Day of the Dead one with the missle silo and upper area and one with infection, meaning one bite and your dead soon

Shaun of the Dead with John, cricket bat, and pool stick

Night of the Living Dead several variations actually

Resident Evil, with RE 2 on the way

28 Days Later new running zombies

I Am Legend yet another running zombies map

those are only a few we have made. anyone that actually LIKES the game and wants more bang for their buck can come on over and pay us a visit.

You know what? I think Halo sucked ass.... really... I just don't get why that game is so awesome... I was bored seconds into the game, so there, Halo fans... Halo sucks!

I agree.... this game is nothing special.... and I've got quite the bug on my hands right now (stupid save game crashes..) so I can't get any further without really killing someone.....

I jacked this game for only about 10 bucks.... and to me, it's been better than most other 10 dollar games I've bought.... except Silent Hill 3.... that was the BEST 10 dollar find ever.....

But yes, the game is fun.... I'm no FPS fan, in fact, I really HATE FPS just because I feel like your vision and overall movement is REALLY restricted... had this game been set-up like resident evil 4 with the over the shoulder view I think I would have enjoyed it more.... but ah well... 10 bucks is 10 bucks.

Zombie games are awesome.... and I hate zombies, and I love killing zombies... so this game was right up my alley.... I mean, it beats those freakin' OUTBREAK games.... those games I just don't get....

Hey- did you get the kungfu fists? I got them like 10 minutes into the game and I refuse to let them go.... I love hearing "who-wah-who!" it's almost as good as Leons "who-wah" in RE4....

Who made your opinion the national opinion?

I like buying cheap games... I like playing cheap games...

I could care less about story, graphics or otherwise....

As long as it's fun, I don't care.

I KNOW what a good "VG" is (are you that lazy? can't type out VIDEO GAME?) the Silent Hill games are excellent "VGs" they step BEYOND "VGs" to a point of absolute madness... I think Neverwinter Nights is a pretty cool game- wastes alot of time... Dreamfall was rather inspiring.... and ya know what else? I like playing the Sims 2...

People don't all share the same options.... I disliked halo because I hated the controls, I find "spacemen" and "lizard folk" to be lame, and I really just plain hate that crap.. even if I'm running around blowing up my own friends....

Who ever said YOU had the right to go about JUDGING people because of the games they play? That's just ridiculous, man....

Fun is fun. No matter how lame.

Online is where it gets fun, I only play invasion and its awesome!
