WHY I FOUND THIS DISAPPOINTING
No, I'm not someone who thinks all documentaries have to be Michael Moorish. However, if you're going for serious, you could at least go for entertaining serious. Road to Guantanamo is a good example. I was expecting a lot of Three Kings type scenes; not the action scenes, mind you, but at least a lot of dramatic shots of militiamen/US troops with firearms staring into a surreal desert sky w/trippy dramatic music. Instead, we get something kind of close, but focusing way too heavily on civilians. It was all right, but fell flat with me. I was literally yawning and nodding off around the beginning of Part II. Couldn't they have focused more on the action and less on the mundane day-to-day stuff?
