Israel Hands=The goodie XD

I loved this series for the way in which they depicted Hands to be the goody. I mean, the squeaky clean goody-goody in comparison to the others. If it weren't for his rather exotic long hair (blonde pirate dreadlocks, hehe) and generally pirate-y appearance, he could of been passed off as one of the officiers! He was so calm, patient and caring when you compare him to the others. I liken him to the good-bad pirate. =D

Ah, I suppose they have to make one character into the goodie in television programmes nowadays. And to hell with it, he had the best hair-style in the whole programme!

Here is something which confused me a little ever since I was a child reading about real and fictional pirates.

The novel Treasure Island and the movie adapataitons of it have one of the pirates in Flint's crew and Long John's bunch named Israel Hands.

Considering the earliest possible fictional date for the events in the novel, Hands would have been either a very young and precocious pirate in Blackbeard's time, or a very old pirate when he meets Jim Hawkins, or both.

Especially considering that Blackbeard put Israel Hands in charge of a captured ship as early as 1718.

Possibly Jim met Israel Hands Jr. or Israel Hands III.

Anyway, I'd love to see a Blackbeard movie depicting Israel Hands as one of the youngest boy pirates ever, just so he can be in Treasure Island.
