Well "jeffislouie" if I were you I would research things before you speak about them. Almost every word you wrote is from our media's point of view. So how can accuse others of doing that? Our media is a joke, out of the top 50 countries in the world, our media was 41. Wake up. We have no real journalist left. We have 2 newspapers that are still "free", and 0 news channels. If you watch any news about america in america, and then avoid researching independant news groups, then you have no news. Anyone who quotes our media is an idiot im sorry to say.
As for your unfounded accusations, I would ask you to research yet again. Her so-called "altercation" with security was a complete farce. If you would research you would find that the contract for this movie American Blackout, was about to be bought by a major network. It was going to be played on tv, it was not created for a movie release. The week the deal was to be sign just so happened to be the week of the so-called "altercation". If you look even further you will find quotes in small local newpapers from people at the scene that the "altercation" was clearly staged, and provoked by the officers. I will not try to change your mind, but I will inform you that speaking about issues without researching makes you a worse person than her, even if all the things you said were true.
Knowledge is Power.... but more importantly Research is your Salvation!
As for Israel, I will not say too much. Fact is if you think Israel is "legally" occupying Palestine then you are fool, and once again have done no research. There occupation is no more legal than us being here in America. Ask any Indian you know how he feels about this issue. No matter how you see the Israel/Palestine issue, you have to understand so-called laws and treaties, and those say that Israel has rights to certain areas of the so-called "state of Israel" but not West Bank and Gaza. Yet still to this day, they are illegally occupied. Research this issue more to see the real history of the conflict.
As for her being invloved in the "nation of islam" and lumping them into a whole group that is what you say "anti-american". Well I'm not sure I should even justify your comment with a response. It is very easy to tell that you have done no research on things of which you are speaking. Once again I will redirect you too research and not listen to what your so-called "free press" say.
Funny you say your a black man, but you speak about her with such distain. You even go as far as to say that the other black leaders are avoiding her. This is the biggest false statement of all the ones you made. She is supported by almost all the real "african-american" politicians, not the puppets of which you are speaking. I call them puppets, just like they call you "sheeple", and you are a perfect example of a "sheep-people, or sheeple".
The good state of Georgia did vote for her to be elected, not to lose. LOL If you do research on her recent loss, you will find that people from 2 other districts came and voted in her run-off. Of all the so-called free elections that the documentary focuses on, the one that just passed was much worse. I will not bore you with facts about the so-called free election that just took place, but I will once again tell you to research for yourself. The facts were more clear in the coupt that took place in her last election than any part of the documentary.
You as a black american should feel more ashamed than anyone else, that in a country that constantly puts down minorities you follow suit without researching the issues on which your conspiring to advance. How can you do such a thing to your own people? That is much worse than the people who created the propoganda in the first place. This is just one of the many reasons minorities will continue to be stomped on. Until you and others like you wake up, this country will continue to stomp on you and not give one $#!T.
As for her having her own personal sercurity team, well if you actually spoke out against our government and tried to preserve our inalienable rights(i.e. the Military Act, which just removed habeas corpus rights, which intern removes your Bill of Rights) like she did, then you would need your own security also. LOL
Last but definitly not least, I agree with you about Mr. Obama representing with class, dignity, and inclusion. I find it to be yet another example of you not researching though, when I see that you said he represents his constituency. Mr. Obama himself would be offended to see that written about him. Please research about this great "african-american" before you speak about him, specially considering you are an "african-american" yourself, and it is clear that you like him. If you wish to speak or spread praise about someone, even they would say please research my views and opinions before doing so. Mr. Obama is a great man, and a man that I would vote for in '08, but I am not naive enough to believe every action he has taken is distinguished. Even he has admitted that he has said and done many things wrong since arriving on "The Hill", but for all his inadequacies he is still one of the better "citizens" on "the hill".
Oh yeah as a side note, the man that you praise, Mr. Obama, is actually a friend of Mrs. McKinney's, and has not avoided her or her policies.
Now that the "Military Act" has been passed, me and many of you posting on this webpage can now be declared "Enemy Combatants" just for sedition(i.e. speaking out against the administration). Which intern takes away our right to speedy trial and the right to know why we are being charged. Welcome to the fascist state now known as America formerly "The Land of The Free!". What a joke we have become. It is so sad to see. I leave you with some quotes from your for fathers:
"The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking, and writing."
"There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty."
"Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak; and that it is doing God's service, when it is violating all His laws."
John Adams
"The power of the Executive to cast a man into prison without formulating any charge known to the law, and particularly to deny him the judgment of his peers, is in the highest degree odious and is the foundation of all totalitarian government whether Nazi or Communist."
Winston Churchill, November 21, 1943
"I look upon an increase of the power of the State with the greatest fear, because although while apparently doing good by minimizing exploitation, it does the greatest harm to mankind by destroying individuality, which lies at the root of all progress. We know of so many cases where men have adopted trusteeship, but none where the State has really lived for the poor."
Mahatma Gandi
"In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution."
"I hope our wisdom will grow with our power, and teach us, that the less we use our power the greater it will be."
"What has destroyed liberty and the rights of men in every government that has ever existed under the sun? The generalizing and concentrating of all cares and powers into one body."
"I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That 'all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people' (10th Amendment). To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specifically drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to any definition."
"An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens."
"It is a misnomer to call a government republican in which a branch of the supreme power[the judiciary] is independent of the nation."
"You seem...to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all Constitutional questions: a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges are as honest as other men, and not more so. Theyhave, with others, the same passions for party, for power, and the privilege of their corps. ...And their power (is) the more dangerous, as they are in office for life and not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control. The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with the corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots."
"It is not by the consolidation, or concentration, of powers, but by their distribution that good government is effected."
Thomas Jefferson
