Are we paying a TV license to watch this?

Bloody hell!!!

reply

Cue the fanboys and their droning "if you don't like it then why watch it??"
I agree with you. This programme was the worst kind of putrid rot that I have seen the BBC produce - even including that Tate woman.

reply

What bothers me is that public money was spent producing this show when it could have been used elsewhere for better purposes

reply

I too, find myself in complete agreement.
It REALLY is VERY, VERY bad.

(but I didn't like Little Britain after the 1st series either...)

TOTAL DREK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deductions from my next licence fee will be presented to TV licensing. A vast canker of pus, suppurating and festering in the already diseased body of British televisual entertainment.

reply

And you'd know being Putrid Rot itself.

I have to say honestly this is the worst Sketch show I have ever seen. I don't like Little Britain but I did before it became repetitive (I.E half way through the first series) but this just doesn't get a chance. I turned over half way through and though "Why are people laughing?" I viewed a little longer I mean every sketch show has its weak parts but no, not one laugh not one mildly funny moment just a bad series of excuses for the leads to get dressed up in expensive make-up and talk a lot of crap.

reply

some people on here have a serious lack of a sense of humour...its funny, lucy montgomery's many impressions are brilliant, not hilarious but not half as bad as people make out on here...

and all these dimwits complaining that 'licence payer money should be spent elsewhere' just put up and shut up.the show is a success, had a 2nd series comissioned because people liked it, just because you dont we should stop the bbc exploring new comedic talent and new shows?if that were the case little britian would never have happened....what do you suggest we put the license money towards eh?
endless soaps?turn into the trash tv that itv has become? most people who complain about license fees are old, out of touch viewers without any understanding of the word DIVERSITY

the BBC licence fee helps it to fund for all types of programming, and you can hardly say the BBC is a terrible broadcaster...look at ITV ...pure trash tv with their generic x factor soaps x factor tv quiz output

the license fee isnt a payment thats meant to cater for all you own personal tastes and requirements in tv..if you want that get a farting sky subscription and pick and choose your channels..if you dont like, dont watch!

it got a second series? i think the phase rhmyes with clucking bell. they have no talent, the jemery klye person is okay i guess but "i'm shy"? for comedy's sake shut up. bob mortimer has hit an all time low here. athough it's better than man stroke woman or the tate woman i guess

reply

Actually little britian was put on air because Matt Lucas and David Walliams had already written and starred in several other shows...

reply

when we don't have valid arguments, isn't it?

reply

It's sad really, I do believe there's a ton of talent involved with this programme, but it's all gone to waste

100% disagree i think its a gr8 show but may have came at the wrong times, Little Britain is at its highest and Catherine Tate has come to our screen if they had waited till next year to show it i think it would have better views, i personally love the show and think it deserves a chance!

Why don't you do some research before pretending you know what you're talking about. Little Britain is in no way "the BBC exploring new comedy talent." They were around long, long before the BBC 'discovered' them for Little Britain. Ever seen their stand up/Shooting Stars/RIP Dennis Pennis/Rock Profiles?

reply

I'm surprised the show has done well, but I can see why people (mostly schoolkids I would assume) would watch it, even though it really doesn't do it for me.
They were selling this for a fiver in woolworths. Is it that cheap everywhere else?
