This movie doesn't deserve such low rating

I'd say the true rating would be about 5 or 6. I mean far worse movies get grades like 7 and 8 here on IMDB, but this is now in the IMDB bottom 100? Yes, it's a silly movie with bad animal effects, but I still had a genuine laugh at moments.
Furthermore, this movie identifies the damage that suburban development causes in forest ecosystems. This topic is not new and the American public probably at this point is already tired and hostile toward this type of preaching, but it doesn't mean it's not true. The movie also parodies the so-called Eco-friendly trend that corporations today have adopted just so their activities look nice in the public eye. I'd say it's a good message. Why then this movie is met with such hatred? Because maybe too much people recognized themselves in the caricatures on the screen?

Name ONE with an 8 that is far worse. This movie is terrible. The acting is abysmal, the story is stupid, the effects are crap, and it has zero redeeming value. The only thing worse are those "spoof" movies.

Loved this movie to, WTF is up with people.

reply

I was in this movie and still think it deserved its rating.

reply

O yeah? And who were you? Random extra that passes for a second in the background 500 meters away. Mr unappreciated.

reply

If you like the movie, that's fine. Acting like people who dislike it over opinion isn't the end of the world.

Kazaam, stupid as it was, is better than CGI animals beating up on Brenden Frasier.

reply

i want to point out that none of the animals were CGI. Thew were real animals trained to do the things they were doing, or they were puppets. The facial expresions and sometimes an arm movement were CGI, but otherwise, real live animals and puppets. No that this really should change anything, i just wanted to let you know!

reply

CGI or puppets or real animals -- none of those are real big deal, nor a deal-breaker.
The silliness, human stupidity & the animals being too anthropomorphic -- not the effects -- in that they were unrealistically smart, were all lowdowns.

For examples, why would a person stop or slow to avoid a rodent? Then, after Brendan tried to get the critter (raccoon) away, why would he back up for a "chicken run" acceleration?

I only know of myself running over a critter once, at ~30mph. Much slower than that, the critter will scamper. Almost, as passenger -- we alternated driving for ~2,000 miles -- a deer jumped across I-40, but neither contact nor swerving. She asked me ... answer: keep going, maybe slow, maybe broken window, but don't turn at 60+ mph.

Anyway, the too cutesy, pre-teen movie: I didn't get past the 1/2 hour, & that was only partially watching, on my 2nd screen.

Yep, pretty much!

Hi,

I absolutely don't understand this amount of 1 voters.
There are far far far worse movies out there.
I realy had a good time watching that movie. Well, yes it is not the film of the century but it didn't get boring or anything.
I voted lower for A-Team then for Furry Vengeance.

Peter

You misunderstood the poster's response, which was a bad rating, but could've been biasly positive.

You, theoretically could have a bias to rate this positive, but rated it badly; I agree.

Poor movie, in addition to its silliness & human stupidity, the animals were too anthropomorphic -- not the effects -- in that they were unrealistically smart, much more than a dolphin or a chimp.

Ludicrous example: why would a person stop or slow to avoid a rodent? Rodents scurry with any other larger mammal presence. Duh?! Then, after Brendan tried to get the critter (raccoon) away, why would he back up for a "chicken run" acceleration? Then, rodents figured out how to roll a boulder. That ended the movie for me.

Too ridiculous for me. Good for you [few] adults & many kids whom like this.
