The ending? Who's Dave?
I didn't get the very last part before the credits roll: Who the hell is Dave? And what's the revelation that we're supposed to have?
shareDave is a Dutch singer who was very successful in France in the 70's, mostly with covers of classic oldies, sung in French. His trademark hairstyle makes him easily recognizable. He sometimes do this kind of cameo (one other notable appearance, close to this one, was in 'La cité de la peur', a movie by the French humorists Les Nuls). Despite singing silly songs, he is a very cultured man with a sharp sense of humor. It has been known for years that he is gay and likes joking on the ambiguity of his sexuality (in the 70's he had to hide this fact in order to sell records – mentalities changed).
The big revelation at the end is that Dave actually sees the ghosts, making him a straight person. That gag alone made the movie for me :)
