I have the DVD and I have been wanting to watch it for quite some time but the bad reviews have been putting me off of watching this movie, should I watch it? is it a creepy movie?

It's really a good movie that doesn't get the praise it should. It's effective and moves along well, and it is indeed creepy. Every time I see it, I won't go in our basement alone for a week or two. Very enjoyable.

Most of the time when I see a horror movie, I prefer to watch it alone, after 10 pm, put the sound loud and turn off the lights.
Not many movies that made me to turn on the lights in the middle of the movie because I'm scared, and HiC is one of that not many.
FYI, I don't like the HiC part two.
