I find this actress pretty good, most rolls, she can carry-out. That being said, as the Mum to her children, fell flat. In scenes involving 'her baby' 'first born' 'son with CANCER' yadda yadda,, I really think her role was bad, just bad. Not once did she manage to get a tear going down her cheek or EVEN her eyes to swell-up WITH tears!! At times I WAS tearing-up. NOT mommy dearest!! Disappointing.

She is terrible! so cold and uncaring like i shed a tear towards the end of the film she is a mother with a son that ill and looks bored all the time. bad piece of acting.

I disagree. I thought the best thing about this film was the mother-son dynamic between Madsen and Gallner. They are the reason to sit through this unscary mess.
