What's with all the unreleased horror films?

"All The Boys Love Mandy Lane," "The Poughkeepsie Tapes," "Trick 'R' Treat," "Noroi" and now this. Everyone keeps saying "Paranormal Activity" is a rip-off of "In Memorium," but how can I know if its nearly impossible to see both?!

Edit: "Paranormal Activity" is being released in limited theatres. Here's hoping it goes nationwide by October.

Well, it looks like it was made about two years before PA, so you be the judge.
I couldn't say for sure if the director of PA was inspired by IM, but it appears to be very suspicious

I remember when Blair came out, some people were saying that it was a ripoff of the Last Broadcast. The timing of those two films were much closer, so who knows. I subsequently enjoyed both of them because they took two separate and distinct approaches to the found footage concept.

PA looks like the same movie as IM, i'm more curious about the film that's getting overlooked than the film that is getting hyped up beyond reason.

Here's hoping the hype from PA gets IM a dvd release, a distributor will want to capitalize on the current mania surrounding a similarly themed film.

It may be horrendous, but i'm willing to give it a chance, the very fact it has about zero buzz right now will help me enjoy it more.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes was viewable online for awhile, I have a copy, didn't much like it though. It was far too documentary slow without much going for it.

Trick 'R' Treat of course recently came out on DVD finally.

All the Boys love Mandy lane has been available online for a year now since it came out overseas and was leaked to the Net.
