Just saw this show...

It is on right after "Fries with that" now. Massive improvement over that Futurama garbage that used to be scheduled. And mind you that's saying something as this show is quite silly. I read here that it is intended to be a spoof. I didn't notice that although I did (favourably) take note of the "retro" aspects. Charming as that is it can't really excuse a plot where the problem of a giant vine is solved by a giant slug draining out its "juices". I'm a gardener and have had hosta leaves munched by slugs but I know they don't suck juices... that's what aphids do!
Even though I'm not entirely impressed I will actually watch this show regularly. Not for the plots or the special effects (which are rather low-budget as is the whole show) but the lovely Mandy Butcher and Lara Amersey. Nice wholesome girls are hard to find on the screen these days. Hollywood is dishing out all these skeletal horrors now. If I can see bones or muscles it makes me think starvation or men. Not women. So I wholeheartedly applaud the casting of this show as well as many other low budget Canadian shows like Fries with that, Mystery Hunters, Shoebox Zoo, Flight 29 Down (U.S.) etc.
