What the heck is up with Crystal Bernard's really bad hair thru thus entire movie?

From the fake pony tail to her wet and greasy looking bangs... Apparently they couldn't find good hairdressers for this movie.

I always felt Crystal has beautiful hair. Why did they work so hard to hide it in this one?
