Why did they use the lesser known name of Giant man
And not use the name Ant man?

In the comics whilst both are Pym he stops using 'ant form' for a while and uses his giant form for a while and takes the name Giant Man.
They werent meant to be interchangeable at the start of the 616 and in thw Ultimate Universe a Giant Man is a unit like SWAT or Archer etc
