I have not watched a lot of IFC within the last 10 years, but I cannot help but be disturbed by the fact that the channel went from showing artistically challenging movies and shorts and the great classics of world cinema to... THIS.

seriously though, whether you like it or not, r. kelly DID write, direct, and produce every bit of it himself. if that doesn't constitute independent work, i don't know what does. and i think IFC knows irony when they show it...
I'm also dissapointed with IFC for allowing this crap to be part of their programming, usually a "bad" or low rated film still has something of quality to it, this is devout of everything. Personally I'd be ashamed to say I "wrote, directed and produced every bit of it" indepent garbage, the fact that people say they enjoy this is a statement of their own idiocracy.

It seems like IFC is mostly concerned with comedy and shock value rather than art these days.
