I couldn't even watch the whole thing, I can't believe that people were raving about how cool this movie is. When my friend put it on the screen, I literally thought it was a joke or an SNL skit or something. Absolutely terrible.
Nah, it isn't terrible. It's really good and yet unique (let's be fair here, have you heard a song with so many chapters and so many twists to the story?)
It's funny yet it's serious too, which is one of the reasons why it's so good and in each chapter, there is a twist to it, making you wonder what's going to happen next.

I think the term "so bad, it's fun" (but not good) applies here. I mean, I haven't laughed this hard from a music-video-cum-soap-opera since.. ever! This is like a very bad version of a day-time soap mixed with a very bad music video with very, very poor writing/directing/acting. It will, I believe, become a cult-classic in a few years, but only for laughs! R. Kelly' must've been on some serious **** when he came up with this idea, and to Dizzdazz, twists in every chapter? Just because you introduce a new character coming out of a closet / cupboard in every chapter, and change the race / sex / height of the character doesn't qualify to be described a "twist" in my opinion..:p

I think the OP is confused, I never heard anyone say it was "cool". It's very funny if you think about how serious they were when they made it. Everyone I know thinks that it's profoundly stupid and ridiculous...

Agreed, I don't know how many people enjoy this for any serious dramatic element-- but the awesome badness of it is just great.
