The main topics of this movie are: occult horror, supernatural thriller, ghosts. This movie is about a family who translate to a new house and one night they decided to go with a black wizard to try to contact someone with the ouija board, he makes black magic to the board and says to them not play it after 6:00 pm, because that is the hour when evil spirits can stalk to them, but they ignore to this advice and they decided to play it at night. They are asking the ouija board some questions about a person, Norma, a woman who belongs to that family wanted to know, but what always happened is that this board answered them with offensive words like: f..k you bitch or s...k it up your a... They were all desconcertated and then something horrible happens next, Emmanuel, one member of this family, was possessed by an evil spirit and started to say demonic things and started to have convulsion, his eyes were completely white, until he stopped. Everyone was so frightening but what thy don't know is that in that house lies under a whole cemetery of malignants monks that will start a series of supernatural murders, demonic appearences, evil voices from beneath and the presence of an evil being (is called 'El Ente'), so if you want to know how this story ended up read the book 'Cañitas' by Carlos Trejos or wait to the new terrifying movie 'Cañitas. Todo este asunto de Cañitas es un fraude de proporciones épicas. Ojalá que no vaya nadie a verla y que Carlos Trejo pierda todo su dinero.

No he leido el libro de Carlos Trejo ni mucho menos visto la pelicula. Mientras veia OTRO ROLLO salio el comercial de la pelicula y me llamo mucho la atencion que es la segunda pelicula CAÑITAS de TERROR mexicana que sale, aparte de KILOMETRO 31 o algo asi, otra del mismo genero y la verdad tampoco la he visto pero me gustaria verlas y me esta animando a volver apreciar el cine mexicano ya que el genero de TERROR murio en Mexico aparte de ciencia ficcion y accion entre otros. Mexico nada mas hace peliculas calientes, sexuales, de lo mismo o drama envolviendo un tema de perversion sexual o cualquier relacion del mismo. Mejor me pongo a ver pornos si quiero ver esas peliculas que no llegan muy lejos y decepciona sin duda el septimo arte mexicano. Yo Apoyo el genero de TERROR mexicano que esta reviviendo, comparada con las peliculas españolas que estas muy bien elaboradas tipo hollywood como tanto las argentinas, pienso que deberiamos de apoyar el cine mexa (mexicano) aunque se trate o se base de un fraudolento, que importa, mientras la pelicula este buena, deberian de verla antes de criticarla nada mas por el CARLOS TREJO y esos rollos. VAMOS MEXICO!

muy mala pelicula, no la recomiendo, esta bonito eso de apoyar al cine mexicano, pero si quieren que uno los apoye hagan cosas buenas, una cosa es apoyar y otra mentir

The overview written by "raf" at the beginning of this topic is about the book. The movie is loosely based on it. It has some elements like the Cañitas House, the family (obviusly with carlos trejo as the lead), the ouija board, and some key scenes from the book, but it has a lot of changes.

It's an average movie. I hate Carlos Trejo, he is a faker, but I saw the movie to criticize it as a movie, and i would rate it 5/10. Kilometro31 was far better. It's not the same type of production, though. KM31 was a co-production with Spain, with great visual effect and a big budget. Cañitas is a mexican production, with a far lower budget and it tries to generate "horror" by classic techniques with noise and quick camera movements.

And the name is just "Cañitas", and not "Cañitas. Presencia"

El resumen escrito por "raf" al principio de este tema es sobre el libro. La película está poco basada en el. Tiene algunos elementos como la casa obviamente, la familia (con carlos trejo como principal), la tabla ouija, y algunas escenas clave del libro, pero tiene muchísimos cambios.

Es una película promedio. Odio a Trejo, es un farsante, pero ví la cinta para criticarla como película. Le pondría un 5/10. Kilometro 31 estaba mucho mejor, aunque no es el mismo tipo de producción. KM31 era co-producción con españa, con buenos efectos visuales y un gran presupuesto. Cañitas es producción mexicana, un presupuesto mucho más ajustado y trata de generar terror con técnicas clásicas de ruido y movimientos de cámara rápidos.

Y el nombre es solo "Cañitas", no "Cañitas. Presencia".

Oye Rafa, soy Cochran. ¿En serio la piensas ver? Si en realidad es tu plan y piensas hacer el sacrificio por mí, dime qué tal está porque a pesar de que sé que van a llover (y ya empezaron a llover) malas y malas críticas, aún así no deja de llamarme la atención esta cosa, aunque puede que al final haya perdido horas de mi vida valiosos. Ahi me avisas ¿no?

A juzgar por el libro, se nota que Carlos Trejo NO SIRVE PARA ESCRITOR. Está sumamente mal narrado y no le hallo continuidad; es sumamente frustrante lograr llegar hasta el final, a pesar de que cuente con una historia real sumamente interesante.

Tal como dice Carlos, Rafa puso la reseña del libro, pero la película en sí está pobremente basada en él; más bien es más cultura popular atrayendo masas a través de mierda, traída a nosotros gracias al buen Carlos Trejo (¿qué es el sarcasmo?)
