Um...well from what I'm currently experiencing at school and at parties I'd say about 20% of the youth do. Don't know about adults. But yeah most pacific ethnicities do.

It's our "west-side" speak...to put it rather bluntly. Which is what you guys in the US mock right? The african-american slang.

Im a Poly and I don't speak like that.I think anyone who grow up in the "ghettos" like South Auckland are bound to speak like that,Ive even heard white people from those areas that speak like that.

Ive grown up in the South Is. so that has had huge influence on my accent.

Oh my goly, I'm not poly! But I'll answer this for you.

In Australia, alot of the Maori/Samoan/Tongan/Islanders talk that way. I know, because I go to school with them and they're full of pride when it comes to their accents and west-side slang.

ps. Jona Takalua was way cooler than the bro's in Bro'Town. Saying that, I still think this show is hilariously absurd!
