Good idea, really crappy show

The shows idea had a lot of potential but the show is extremely crappy and unfunny.

The voice acting and accents are absolutely terrible, there is no humour at all. I dont think there is a single joke in the show, all I see is that they are stating stereotypes, I could seriously write the same dialogue.

I notice that most people who like the show are simple minded people.

You must be NZ european or in other words white or "palagi" if you dont think its amusing..

this show is so lame and not funny and i'm a kiwi as well. Now Eating Media Lunch, that is one funny show!

reply

Well that isn't true. You just have to understand Maori culture..that's all.
I think it's quite racist to say that if you don't find this show funny, you must be white.

I agree, The humor is in the Forest Gump IQ region.
The Whole show could be put to a better use.
Alot of excellent films and television have come out of New Zealand,Unfortunatly this is not one of them.

If you don't like the show, then you're not the intended audience. In fact, you're the people that the show makes fun of.

In the same way that Billy T. James used stereotypes to mock those who held those stereotypes to be true, this show mocks those who take themselves/their culture too seriously by throwing their "dirty laundry" in their face.

So if you think that you're above reproach, that you're better than everyone else (which it sounds like from your comments), then don't watch the show. You just don't get it.

You just don't get it.

Now who thinks they're better than everyone else?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Democracy simply doesn't work.

I am a white American, and I love this show!

Report this post or *beep* off

reply

The accents are not terrible, because if you have ever been to NZ you would know!! That is how full-blood Maoris speak. Have a holiday and visit NZ!

This here is an example of a Australian citizen or as he is known to the rest of the world a *beep* the Australian race you see has minimal I.Q and is forced to pretend that the people of a smaller and more unknown neighbour country are constantly stealing their ideas in order to look inventive.

Now back to why I came to this board I am a Kiwi and I can't stand this show it is garbage (no wonder the *beep* loves it so much) Bro' Town is a disgrace to NZ that just shows the rest of the world how stupid most Maori children really are. It is not witty if you come to NZ and try to converse with a maori youth you will realise what I am talking about because this show is crap and has no real imagination to it.
