I couldgo threw all the reasons why its bad but that might take me all day. So im going to say if you really want good cartoon shows watch The Simpsons,RugRats, or Family guy but by all means avode this piece of crap show.

Well, I must say that I hate this show too.
It is not at all intelligent, witty, or funny in any way, shape, or form.
It truly is pathetic, and I can't see how anyone outside of NZ could find any sort of humour in it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Democracy simply doesn't work.

i saw both series' of Bro' Town at Christmas in Australia with my family from NZ and i loved it. Breath of fresh air as far as i'm concered, beats quite a few British series hands down.
After watching thousands of american/european/asian/australian cartoons, it's good to have a cartoon we get to call our own. I mean, there are loads of cultural references in american shows that only brain-whizzes and americans could get, so why is it not okay for a kiwi show to have jokes in it only kiwis would get?
sharei agree. just becos nzed is a small country doesn't mean it can't indulge itself every now and again in its own brilliance! all other countries have shows which appeal to their own kind of humour and make references to only things you would understand if u lived in that country. Australia for example has Kath and Kim and the UK has Little Britain. I feel sorry for ppl that don't get the show. its not genius or anything but its a laugh with iconic kiwiana thrown into the background which is cool.

Once again this is a parody of racial stereotypes in New Zealand, visit the country once in a while to get what's going down with this series. The only episode l was uncomfortable with was "The Wong One", but have since read on the official site that a few Chinese descent people are working on the series as well.
The only thing l'm not getting is some of the guest appearances, simply don't know who some of these people are. Presume for k1w1s it's funny.
Just got through "Get Rucked", share brilliance having George Nepia and Jesus kicking around a rugby ball, with the puns coming think and fast "Jesus wept" ....

You will find a lot of posters on these forums are simply trying to get a reaction from people, in forum circles they are known as trolls and generally get banned pretty quickly as they bring zero to the table in terms of discussion.
As far as l know Bro'Town is shown in prime time in NZ on TV3, and is available through the pay for view comedy channel in Australia. I am not aware of it being shown in other countries. The DVDs are widely available in Australia as well, though we haven't got season 2 as yet ... am going to import from kiwiland.

The second series has just been screened in australia and many reviews have found this show funny.

i despise brotown, but not at all because of the race of the characters, just because it presents an unrealistic idea of what nz society is like!
it also encourages the sterotypes here of different races, which is breaking up our society as people identity the stereotypes and not that we are all new zealanders. this is especially a concern when children watch it because they absorb so much from what they watch.
and no brotown is not helping us by "showing" us what we are really like, shows like these aren't meant to be interpreted to find the hidden messages.
oh and i guess because it has gained so much attention that has made me hate it more...
