it's getting pulled

It has been announced recently that ABC will pull its sitcom In Case of Emergency on April 11 and replacing it with a new sitcom called Notes From the Underbelly.

reply

It's not getting pulled. The show's season will be over by then. There are no more episodes to air.

reply

It's not getting pulled... The ratings went up last week and LOST rating went down so people are watching. The show is hillarious, one of the best comedies on TV right no, why would the pull it?

Okay, don't believe me then read this article:

Yeah, way to read the article you posted:
"The network isn't calling this a cancellation as yet and maintains that the series will return in the future."

reply

i doubt the show will get re-newed...

reply

Actually ABC changed its plans recently so the show will air its remaining episodes but I seriously doubt this show will get renewed its ratings haven't been very good

reply

yea i got the feeling they were just gonna finish up this season, just for the heck of it, but can't see it getting another season...

It's Canceled!

reply

Any chance of a DVD release??

The poster is trying to tell you that the network is not requesting more episodes, the show will not renew. So, it is getting "pulled" from the ABC programming line-up.

reply

can't say i'll mourn it. after a few eps i started to like the show less and less, especially cos Silverman's ADHD shtick started to annoy the crap out of me.

reply

not surprised... mainly i watch just cuz of Kelly Hu and Jane Seymour...

oh well...

best comedies you must be kidding...

reply

Are you kidding me? Have you seen other STD TV network comedies? You better not say something like "How I met your mother is the funniest thing on TV", That show is so white it makes Friends look like Good Times!

The only other funny comedy on is the Office, and every time someone talks about the Office, some prick comes by talking about how they liked the British version better. (Guess what, we don't care!)

"In Case of Emergency" may not be brilliant, but it at least breaks out of the two-set box we're accustomed to with TV comedies, and it also tries to develop character, which is something almost absent from any TV programming, and which is therefore mostly very uninspiring.

Oh, and "bellalpha", you might care about the original "The Office" if you were capable of discriminating. As for your "we" in "we don't care" - are "they" your imaginary friends you speak of? Maybe check the original "The Office" out before you make your lofty assertion.

reply

yeah cuz the pilot was funny, like the quote about david's charater and the other chick say

-Just call someone to take you home. Y'know like a wife, girlfriend...
-You know what, I could go home with you.
-Great, and you can get into bed with me and my fiance.
-Is there any chance your fiance is a chic?

brilliant, then when dude was doing his best friends mom..kinda messed up

reply

What's with the argument here? It's a horrible show. It really is. If it isn't being pulled now, it will be pulled later.

reply

it wasn't that funny, great cast though.

reply

the time for NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY was changed

reply

According to the futon critic, ABC has just canceled In Case of Emergency leaving one episode unaired repeats of Lost will fill in the time slot

reply

It's getting the same treatement as Studio 60. But I can't say I surprise for In Case of Emergency. I'm surprised it lasted so long

Meg: I'll be fine
Veronica: No, you'll be super-fine

reply

They need to just stick w/ a show for awhile. How many has it been now 4 that got canned w/ in one season? The Nines, The one w/ T Diggs, and couple more I can't think of right now. Man the Kelly chick is one hot piece of ass!

I really can't see why they pulled it. I watched the whole series on DVD today and while i'll admit i only watched it because i'm a Jackson Bond fan, the show was actually hilarious. It had me laughing constantly and that is rare because most 'post 2000' sit coms just don't cut it, and when one finally does they can it.
Plus all you haters saying 'it wasn't funny' or 'crap show, great cast', WHAT MORE DO YOU EXPECT? Seriously, this show is one of the best i've seen in a long time. Funny, yet smart. Traditional, yet stylish. With a nice bit of slap stick and great one-liners.
I don't know what it would take to please these idiots.

NATHAN GAMBLE, Bobby Coleman, Zachary Gordan and Jackson Bond are all AWESOME

Hey dude, I agree with you I thought it was a pretty damn funny show! Just out of curiosity, where did you get the DVD from? Wish they aired/released the 13th episode :( PM me please
