Does anyone think that the ending of the second film really sets it up for a third. Cmon the s**t is about to hit the fan big time with the decision our protagonist has to make. Any views? Just me?

I guess they could make a third, though it's not vital, and I don't expect it, I'll still see it, though

I would buy 1000 opies just so it was made!! This cast and story has so much more to give and To is the right man.. I would love to see Jet take over his own gang and become huge and be a violent insane man on a vengence trip...

Exactly! They can always take it in another direction like I posted in another thread on this board with Jet. Jet has a real mystery of story and definately more exciting than Jimmy or like I said a prequel of Uncle Teng's era. Either way if the same writer's and director is on board then I'm all for it.

I could easily see a third ... certainly the next election promises another storm of conflict.

With that being said it's not really necessary ... I think one of the key themes of this sequel is how Lok is mostly a sympathetic figure in the first film, but morphs into an unsympathetic one ... and that likely would be the same thread for Jimmy in another sequel. It would be repeating the same material in a lot of ways.

I think Jet will become a Luca Brasi for Jimmy.

Yes, there is enough to create the third.

Basic premise: Jimmy's son vs Denny, Lok's son whose guardian might be Kun, who's still set on taking the throne. Kun could try to use Denny as a weapon against Jimmy and his son by making Denny battle to bring back the old system of electing. Jet could become Jimmy's unexpected ally by pledging loyalty to the son (instead of Jimmy himself)?

I don't think it necessarily NEEDS a sequel, but I'd love to see a third installment.

I certainly hope so! What a great pair of films! Both are 9/10 for me! =)
