Question

I watched it for the first time last week and I was blown away. It's a modern day masterpeice, a film that Hitchcock would have admired. It's structured immaculately, given an atmosphere like no other film has, contains some of the best acting I've ever seen in a horror film, it's true twist is executed perfectly, the use of art and the emphasis it has on the story is unique and the fact that no one has ever heard of the film makes it so much more enjoyable. I saw the previews before Hatchet, a film my friends RAVED of but I HATED, so for months I hunted a copy of Spiral and I'm glad I did. I've watched it twice since my first time and I think I'm going to rewatch it again tonight. The film really is remarkable in terms of it's quality and originality. Even if you don't like the twist ending, you can admire the rest of the film for it's artistic approach towards the genre. I enjoy films like SAW, but I know that for the most part, artistic horror films no longer exist. Spiral is one of the remaining few.
