Male Version of MAY.

Wow. I really enjoyed this movie. The double twist had me cheesing like mad. I think of this as the male answer to MAY. These two movie would play well together in a double feature.

Male version of May would, in my mind, be Roman. Though I did jokingly refer to Spiral as May 3 with Roman being May 2.

Considering it is made by the same two people who made may just with the roles reversed(Angela Bettis was the main in May and Lucky McKee directed May. Lucky McKee was the main in Roman and Angela Bettis directed Roman) I would say Roman is the male version of May.

Fan of Kristen Bell the most beautiful actress in Hollywood and one of the best actresses too

oh....I forgot about that movie. I've read about it in Fangoria but never saw it. Is it any good?

Roman was pretty good. This movie is a lot like Roman in the way the plot goes. But, I think this movie's better. It's not as artsy and it just has an overall deeper and better thought out plot.

Good call. I would say Spiral treads much of the same ground as "May". Have not seen "Roman" but have heard that it is basically "the male May". The movie "May" always reminds me of is George Romero's "Martin".

"Spiral" reminded me of the film "Love Object." Although I guess "Love Object" could probably be seen as a mix between "Spiral" and "Lars and the Real Girl."

"Love Object" is the one that immediately sprang to mind when I began watching it... and memories of "Roman" and "May" soon followed. Regardless, I had a real "been there, done that" reaction to "Spiral." It was acted and directed well enough, but the lead character wasn't particularly likable (the psychos in "May" and "Love Object" were compelling, at least) and early on I had a hunch (which I was right about) that they were intentionally trying to misdirect the audience - so the big twist wasn't much of one. There's a whole lot of gushing reviews here (comparisons to Hitchcock and the like) and I sorta regret being suckered by 'em. Not a total waste of time, but there are definitely better ways to spend 90 minutes.
