Which is your favorite of the two? I know they're totally different, but the same people made them.
My vote is for Hatchet. I loved both films- but Hatchet has way more replay value and the writing was a lot better. So many great lines and fun characters. Spiral was a little on the slow side for my tastes- but a really well made film. Joel Moore was awesome in this.

Even though Hatchet was MUCH more fun, Spiral is a much better movie. Spiral is actually one of my top fav movies. (right next to Black Snake Moan lol)

Hatchet was a surprisingly funny portrait of an emotionally unstable man. Spiral was a predictably weak attempt at a psychological portrait of an emotionally unstable man.
No, see, Spiral WAS good. But Yeah, there could've been way more. I'd say, More violence/gore. More excitement. I was a tad bit disappointed when I first saw it. But im glad I only got it for $10

I'd have to say I liked both. It's hard to say which I liked better due to them being so different. I will say I had more fun watching "Hatchet". *chuckles* But obviously "Spiral" was not meant to be "fun".
I also must add Joel Moore and Amber Tamblyn gave great performances.

I like them both in different ways, but Spiral is definitely my favorite. I realize they both have flaws, as all movies do, but they both have a sort of charm to them as well. Hatchet was very fun and I applaud them for not using any CG, but there's just something about Spiral that I really feel a connection with. I go to Hatchet when I want to see blood and gore and I go to Spiral when I want a psychological thriller... I also love the fact that I got both(+ a Hatchet Keyring) for like six dollars each.
