Is this movie going to be an actual theatrical release, or is it going to be a straight to DVD flick, or is it a TV movie???

That has not been decided yet. They will have the movie Ready for Distribution in May and then they will be putting together the best deal they can. The producers say they hope for it to be an actual theatrical release.

Me too. And whatever it is,I hope it'll come out on DVD eventually. I need to add this to my collection!

But I hope they will get a theatrical release. Seeing James' face on the Big Big screen will be awesome. :D

I'm gonna have to agree completely. James BIGGER than life size? It doesn't get much better than that. I'll keep my fingers crossed for us all.

I dont really understand and I hope that I dont sound like a complete idiot but what does "Ready for Distribution" mean?

They film scenes. Then they have to get it ready....edit it...add music...maybe add special effects...lots of little things. When it is all done, then they are ready to show it to somebody and make a deal to have it shown in theaters or maybe go straight to DVD (RFD...that is what they mean by "ready to distribute" it). That is the date when they have a product ready to sell/show to people who can get it distributed (seen by us)

Apparently,they have made a deal and according to James Marsters it will be shown to the public around Halloween. (he did not say whether it was a movie theater release (which the producers were hoping for or a DVD release). But when they said the RFD was May....that was never when the public would see it, just when they would start trying to set up a distribution deal.

There is no information about when it is coming out. They will have gotten the film to the point where they can sell it by May. Then they look for a distribution deal.

STILL IN POST PRODUCTION. So I would not count on it being seen anytime "soon" soon, but yes it depends on what the money people say.

Another post suggests James mentioned Hallowe'en-time.

Yes,he has mentioned that it would be out around Halloween on his Official site...so I would presume he knows what he's talking about.

I just cant wait to see James! But i do hope he's good in this movie.. and it doesnt turn out to be another 'Chance'.

I would be really amped if it came out on the big screen and be there in a heart beat.

Though, whether it comes to theaters or is directly released to DVD, I'll see it and own it. :]

I'm just happy, like most of the rest of you, to see James in a new project.

Really? You didn't like Chance?? I thought it was good but it took twice of watching it to get to that point. The first time I watched it was getting past Tara and Spike being roomies but after getting past the 'buffy personas' I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I thought it was an okay effort on Amber Benson's part and a decent effort of acting from most of the cast. Arthouse stuff is sometimes hard for me to deal with. I didn't find Chance difficult to watch. Whether that was because I'm very fond of the ex-Buffy/Angel regulars or because it was a good film, I'm not sure. :D
