I agree with you. If this was the first movie with this theme (Saw, Cube etc.) maybe I would think it was good. But now I know it's not. It's terrible. There must be something really wrong with the people who like this movie.

This movie sucks big time. I stoped it half.

Well, that's a pretty silly accusation, bordering on slander. The main actors are in lots of other projects, and have probably mostly forgotten this by now. They've already been paid, so it's not a huge deal to them if a little indie horror flick that they filmed for a couple weeks over a year ago is a success or failure. On the other hand, all three leads have lots and lots of FANS who have been waiting for this to come out. And many, if not most, of those fans (especially Blalock and Marsters fans, and yes, they have LOTS of devoted fans) never saw Cube or Saw. If you're not a fan of the genre and you're just watching this to see one of your favorite actors, you're taking the movie on its own merits and not comparing it to previous works.

You don't know what you're talking about
This movie is an amazing piece of cinematographic art
Much better than the came out earlier this year like Grindhouse and 300
You guys have been brainwashed into believing that those kind of movies are good
But the fact is that they are just en empty shell , all in the effects and violence.
Shadow Puppets is a different movie
It's kind of sad that you don't see it
That's the problem with you new age cinema fans

Why are you comparing this movie to 300 or Grindhouse? They're completely different. I've only watched 300 but it's a movie that gets you pumped, gives you an adrenaline rush. This movie just puts you to sleep. After you've seen Saw, or Cube... it's so predictable.

You must be joking though, right? Please tell me you are. ._.

the movie was not that bad.
if it hadn't the smokey creature in it, it would have been good.
but the overall excitement and suspense worked for me.

I completely agree with the OP, this movie was beyond terrible. I actually can't remember the last movie I saw that was of comparable poor quality. And I know it sounds like I'm just another hater - but my standards are surprisingly low for horror/thriller/mystery genre. Seriously. And I adore this type of movies, a bunch of people trapped somewhere and trying to figure it all out - they're all the same but nevertheless, a part of those movies is always entertaining. I try to be realistic and not expect much out of these films (or most horror films) since they usually aren't as memorable as some non-horror movies (and no, I'm not talking about romantic comedies...) - I'm very easily entertained.

The movie had an okay basic idea (people trapped in a creepy place), but the execution of the idea, the acting, the directing, the thing with the monster, the undeveloped characters, lack of explanation for the lawyer's motives, all the passive behaviour (oh look, the creepy monster that's afraid of the dark, I'll just stare at it open-mouthed and not use my flashlight... but a few minutes later, I'm gonna depend on that flashlight to get out)..
I seriously can't believe how much this movie sucked. Nearly two hours of my life WASTED.

edit: Someone compared this to 300? You've got to be kidding.
