Refrences to LOST or just a plain rip-off?

Has anyone noticed the similarities between the movie and the Tv-show LOST?

I mean the Shadow beast was a poor man's Smoke-Monster from Lost, but from the plot of characters running clueless in a strange environment, to the similar Character names and scenario, it just shows lack of creativity, even the comparison would be an insult to Lost, but to show how shallow the script was,

Shadow Puppets Movie :: Lost Tv Show

Shadow beast :: Smokey
Jack :: Jack Sheperd (both doctors)
Kate :: Kate Austen
Charlie :: Charlie Pace

Memory-Wiping machine :: Brain washing machine
References to Light and Dark :: Recurring theme on Lost
Erased memory, fresh start :: Tabula rasa, new life
The Accident :: The Incident

The Organization established :: Dharma Initiative.
to improve human life

Apart from one dimensional characters, puppet actors, borrowed elements from Cube, Saw, Unknown and Lost, Cheap shocking tactics, poor script and continuity errors, I think the movie is worth a watch when you have nothing else to do.

Kate, Jack and Charlie are just very common names.

Brain washing has been done an infinite number of times before Lost.

To compare the Dharma Initiative with the Organization in this movie is just reaching.

The only similarity was in the smoke/shadow monster thing. And they weren't even that similar.

To answer your question, no.

I agree with your conclusion though.
