Yet another CUBE rip-off....

Well it all started way back when... there was a movie called CUBE (followed by Cube 2: Hypercube, and Hypercube 3: Cube Zero). A handful of people wake up, locked in a strange place, not knowing who they are, trying to work together to get out.

How many rip-offs of Cube do we need to endure?? "Shadow Puppets", "Unknown", "Saw", etc, etc...

yep, another in a long line, but this one is not THAT bad

I give it a 5/10

Don't forget the torture devices.

I own Cube Zero, and I recently bought a copy of the original. I'll watch it sooner or later. I hear it's real good.

Not every idea can be original and not everything original must be good and everything inspired by something else subsequently bad.

I didn't feel like I was watching a Cube ripoff and I think this verdict is pretty unfair to that movie. It was fairly good and the plot was even deeper and more satisfying that that of Cube.

P.S. A bunch of people are chased by a mysterious ghost within a building. Could be a ripoff of so and so many movies. Who cares?

IMO, I don't really see this as a direct "Cube" ripoff and I do like that series of movies so I have nothing against it. The plot from one movie may share various pieces from other movies just by chance, it is the same as different cars from car companies share various designs. Now if they woke up in an area with "traps", various connecting rooms, etc. than I would have a different opinion but I didn't think of "Cube" when watching this. Various other movies that came out after "Cube" did "borrow" things from that movie.

I spoke with Tony Todd last night and asked him about this movie. He didn't even like it, haha.

Silly comment. Cube was a direct rip-off of an episode of Star Trek NG. Ideas are public domain. It's what you do with them that counts.

I was thinking the same thing. This is just based on the trailer. I haven't seen the actual movie. I like the original Cube, but i can't say the same for the Cube prequel & Hyper cube.

There are no new ideas, just how well you tell a story. I thought the movie was ok.
