Oh, I want so much better for James Marsters

He's so much better than this movie. He's Spike. Why can't some people recognize his talent and put him in some good movies?

Oh, and on another note, (SPOILERS) did anyone notice after James walked through that mechanically locked door that it didn't even extend to the ceiling?!! It was like 6-6.5 ft. high. They could have just climbed over the damn wall it was sitting in and dropped down on the other side, rather than all that silliness of having to turn off the power (/SPOILERS).

So stupid.

And why not closing the door after they left the place to trap the evil in there, the reason they locked the door in the first place. But then the director wouldn't get the opportunity to show us the fastest sunrise EVER.

Yes he is better than this, he needs a new agent thats for sure. I hear he is going to appear in the British Sci'Fi show Torchwood soon, not a well respected show at all! Better not to do it in my opinion, even though I love seeing him on screen.

James you are wondeful and you deserve better!
I thought after cool money he would get better job offers!

James Marsters, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Emma Caulfield, and the rest--They're all so talented and they're getting mostly bland stuff to work with. I just watched "Darkness Falls" and it was okay--kind of interesting but not great--and Emma Caulfield was very good in it but they all deserve better projects than they have had of late. I think they've already proven their abilities from doing BtVS and don't understand why they aren't getting better roles or better movies.

I agree. I want so much better for the cast of Buffy.

Well Sarah Michelle Gellar has actually had some pretty good movies, and Alyson Hannigan is on a hilarious tv show (How I Met Your Mother).

But I still want them all to be big and famous and get great movie roles because they are all stunning performers!

I totally agree! This movie really stands up there as one of the all time worst horror films ever! And lucky James got to be in it. He says he's being so careful about what he wants to be in, turning down lots of things for his career and then he chooses this? What is he thinking? I don't think it's Steve (his manager), he handles some pretty huge people in the business. James has to make better choices. Straight to DVD releases just can't be one of them. The dialogue was awful, the monster was cheesy, this whole movie was so bad it was laughable. I can't believe we spent the money on this one.

It's so nice to see people being honest - to themselves and others - about this damn movie. I love James, he's so freaking talented, it's not funny, and he needs a much better vehicle than this. I can see what drew him to it. The idea is intriguing. I actually had hope for it when I saw the clips at a convention last year. My biggest complaint was that the dialogue was so horribly done, so poorly written and cliched, that not even Marsters or Todd could save it. I admire their effort, cuz they certainly did their best with what they had, but I was ultimately disappointed with the result. Actors like Marsters really can do much better than this, and I feel bad that I didn't enjoy it more. All the reviews I was reading before were raving, and I was just shaking my head in sorrow at the denial from the legions of Marsters-fans who wouldn't allow themselves to admit that he's so much better than what we got here. Thanks for the honesty, and the support of such obvious talent.

Straight to DVD is definately not a good choice, cause hardly anyone ever hears of the movies! He's such a great actor he needs just one theatrical release with an ORIGINAL script and he should be set!

Horror films like "lost confused" stuff like that is unoriginal.

I am insulted because James Marsters is not only damn good looking, but he is also very talented, if anything he needs to be in better films!

If you are Anti-American: Admit you are doing it just to be cool. Does it feel good to hate?

The movie had it's ups...but mostly downs.

He has a recurring part in Without a Trace. I hope he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Though I kind of enjoyed Shadow Puppets. I've seen WAY worse horror movies from Buffy alumni. I'm watching one now (Intermedio with Amber Benson).

When you repeated the movie name it just struck me that there is currently a SPIKE comic mini-series called Shadow Puppets. How about that? :)

I agree as well. He's a great actor. This was an awful movie and he was the only good thing about it

I would agree with you that he should have had way better parts after playing in Buffy/Angel as Spike. He definitely is a way talented actor, but I was just watching an interview he had done when Angel was winding up it's final season. It's not so much his agent as in James is finicky and didn't want to be away from his kids so much.

James stated that he wanted to play human and not be British, and most of the offers he got after Angel ended, was to play a vampire or be British. He said I think I made my point when I shaved my head, that i'm done with that look.

I agree people have to grow and play other parts but James should have capitalized on his fame right after Angel finished. He went on tour with Ghost of the robot (his band). As most people know if you take a break the industry has a tendency to forget about you and then it's like trying to get noticed again.

In noway am I trying to diminish everything he has accomplished because I adore James Marsters and I loved Buffy (Esp. Spike). Just wish I would have seen him more after Angel ended because honestly I didn't even know it was him when he played in Supernatural or torchwood until I just happen to look him up when netflix put Buffy out and I decided to re-watch it.
