Purple Violets coming in 2006? (article about Ed Burns)

Here is a link to a great article about Ed Burn's and his approach to film-making. In the box on the right, they've listed his films.

It says Purple Violets (coming 2006) and Four-Fifths (coming 2007).

Since The Groomsmen will be coming out soon it looks like he's already got wheels turning for the release of the other ones--and Purple Violets is next on the list. WOOOO HOOOO!

Here's the link to another brief article on Ed Burns and there is a blurb about Purple Violets at the end. I love his description of the plot. :)

"He'll return to put finishing touches on "Purple Violets," which has Selma Blair and Patrick Wilson in a story Burns describes as "neurotic New York novelists in love."

I like that Ed is so family-oriented and trying to do work that keeps him in New York on a family-friendly schedule. I hope Patrick has the chance to work with him again.

Thanks.

Someone has to die in order that the rest of us should value life more. It's contrast.

From one of the minor cast member's website (as of October 2, 2006):

You'll (hopefully) be able to catch me in a couple of new movies coming to a theater near you soon. One is The Hoax, starring Richard Gere and directed by Lasse Hallstrom. The other is Purple Violets written and directed by Ed Burns and starring Patrick Wilson, Debra Messing, and many others.

The Hoax is scheduled to hit theaters on November 17th. Purple Violets is still in post-production with no scheduled release date, as of yet. I have very small roles in both films so hopefully I make the final cut!
