HI Slayer -

Kind of a blanket statement there bro. Can you give us some feedback on what you didn't like and why? Also, was there anything you liked?

Okay, I'm not even finished with the movie, I'm about 20 minutes into it, but oh man, I hate to do this. I hate giving negative feedback....I thought it was a horrible movie as well. As a writer, I try to look at "the big picture" in a movie..ya know, the plot, the characters, blah, blah, blah. But....one of the things I hate the most about this movie is the dialouge...it's written well and it could've been a great movie if only the actors/actresses weren't sounding like they're just reading their lines out of a book.

There's no emotion behind hardly anything that's said. And in the beginning where that girl, Mellany dies, there's not even emotion behind her screams, it sounds fake too. I'll post more later, but as of right now, that's what I think of it so far.

Okay, so I've finished the movie, and still I want to point out that the actors and actresses sound like they're just reading their lines, no emotion behind anything they're saying. I think the best acting was probably the redneck guys in the store and in the woods.

Some other things I noticed:

1. When the guy and girl are tired up in the U.V and she's trying to get the knife out of his pocket, the little sexual comments like "you know to use it" and something about how long it is, was WAY too much.

2. The guy who played Roger is good looking, don't get me wrong. But I think he looks way too old to be playing a seventeen year old or a teenage role. And as far as ethnicity goes...was he foriegn or american? He sounded foriegn in two parts of the movie, but in the rest he sounded normal.

3. The killer looks like a poor version of Darth Vader. "Join me or I shall destroy thy motor home! mwwwwwahahahahahahaha!"....

However, there were some positive outlooks on the movie. I never expected Nichole (or however her namae is spelled), to be the killer...good twist.

The script was great, well written. I loved it, the acting was just not as great.

And that's all I have to say. Sorry if it's not great.

Hi Sunnydalesweetheart -

Thanks for taking the time to check out the movie. I and everyone involved really appreciate your comments.

It's funny we're getting a wide range of comments on here which is great but it's kind of hard to find the common thread to be honest. It seemed you really liked the script and understood the humor in the characters being so stereotypical. However there are others that hate the script for their own reasons I suppose.

One common thread is the acting which is mostly my fault. Next time I'm going to try and give the actors more to work with.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Hi Slayer -

That's not completley unheard of. It would be great if you could just delete the post.

I actually think that this was a decent movie for the money I spent renting it (Okay, my cousin rented it, but I digress). I have seen a lot of new horror movies that have done worse acting wise. I think the best part of this movie was the death scenes, which is why most people rent these flicks anyways. I did, however, think the flashback during the store scene was a bit of a waste. I appreciate seeing the whole opening scene, but since we had already seen most of it as an audience it wasn't completely necessary to show it all again. Some of the editing was a bit off, too, e.g. Benji and his disappearing reappearing tie and vest, and some music cues were a bit off. For the most part I got full enjoyment out of this flick.

"Manos: The Hands of Fate" is much, much worse. At least this film was amusing in its spoofy goofiness.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!
