It was better than WHEN A STRANGER CALLS remake

i think it was better thn WSC remake. It was more thrilling in parts, the killer was more terrifying, and the killings were pretty violent and terrifying IMO. The girl gave a great performance, i thought i was gonna see some cheap and bad acting but no, the lead girl was very good in her role, the others like her friends and the girls parents were decent. The killer gave a great performance too, he was terrifying and sadistic, scarier than the one in WSC remake. The movie wasnt all predictable, it hd some original scenes, like some deaths, like the scene in the basement near the ending. I think they were pretty original and exciting scenes. The film is pretty good and enjoyable, but the camera work was a bit dull in parts, but anyway still a very good and gory low budget horror. better than expected. i gave it a 6/10, Pretty good movie.

May u finally rest in peace

I think When a Stranger Calls was far more scary and terrifying than this movie. This movie was ok, and worth a watch if you have netflix or download it...i wouldn't say it's worth buying or renting.

I thought this movie was a lot more boring than WSC. This movie left nothing to the imagination and was pretty predictable. It showed everything, revealed everything and I was like oh, that's it? In WSC they don't show the children murdered from the killings in the first scene. Just the detectives horrified face when he walks into the room. It lets your mind run wild and scared with what may have gone on in that room plus they add the children screaming for effect.

Next, the house from WSC was friggin scary...all that darkness and that weird freaky art they had hanging around...it was genuinely creepy and scary and NOT a house you would want to be alone in. Also, in WSC...the killer has no motive and no identity (not unlike the latest interpretation of the Joker) which is far scarier than some loser killing bc he wants to bang his teenage babysitter, lol. And in WSC when the killer was up in the rafters, OMG, that part was SO scary.

The tension, suspense, and that anxious feeling that WSC gives you is far greater IMO than the lame death scenes in this movie. If you're a gore hound, maybe this one is better for you but I don't find gore scary. It doesnt bother me, but just doesn't scare me. I mean, once they're dead there's nothing left to be scared of, lol.

I thought the acting was better in WSC as well. The lead seemed more genuinely scared whereas this girl just seemed annoyed, not really scared...and she came off as porn actress at times, lol.

U know what, u are right LOL!! I gave this a 2nd watch and i gave WSC another watch and WSC is more suspenseful. Maybe i expected a lot worse with WKC and for that i was excited writing this review. WKC still enjoyable and fairly good though, but WSC is better overall. So, yeah u are right LOL. But thats not saying much, cause i gave both the same rating 6/10, but WSC is a little better though .

I think the only thing that hampered it was being shot on video. Usually don't mind video, but when streaming it doesn't look good at all. I was pleasantly surprised. Others that turned out to be pretty good were The Princess and the Pony (frankly I think they should make more kids/family movies), Sunday School Musical and even though slow I actually liked their War of the Worlds

If you ever get the opportunity, watch "WHEN A STRANGER CALLS BACK" that was made by Showtime at the time and reprised Carol Kane in the movie and that's all I'll say about it.. It's better than the 1st movie which is a hard thing to do
