A point of view for men

This movie is definitely a romantic chick flick, I don't know how they got the idea of throwing in comedy though, there really isn't much comedy in it, a few chuckles here and there.

But it's definitely an easy and enjoyable watch for the guys ... there's enough edginess to the two male characters to keep you from being poisoned by saccharine overdose. And it comes together nicely, it's well integrated. Having lived in NYC for 20 years, I've known a few characters like the two male leads, and I have to say it was pretty realistic with some duly noted exaggerations ... but nothing that stresses your ability to suspend a little disbelief.

I kind of thought I knew how it was going to end ... but it was edgy enough that I wasn't sure, so the ending isn't a slam-dunk.
