solitary cameras in room/set?

Is there a ceiling on the pods or is it just open with cameras looking in one them?

... and how do they get such good shots of the contestants in their pods.

where are the cameras?

reply

I am not sure but I think there are cameras that are capable of limited movement(ie side to side up and down and zoom) behind all the mirrors in the pods and I think they do have a ceiling.

There's at least one that's for sure behind a mirror. The one behind the red/green buttons in the pod. I think in Solitary 2.0 and/or 3.0 I saw at least two camera like looking things on the walls... I can't remember an exact episode but, there's times when the camera shows more of the pod and, there's two camera looking things. So there might be three if that's the view from another camera on an adjacent wall. I also agree with toaud4you that I think there's a ceiling for the pods and, there's probably cameras behind all the mirrors too. I wouldn't be suprised if they put cameras in the ceiling too.

I just saw the first season and in that season they show the ceiling and it has one of those cameras with the black tinted dome over it that can move around. This make sense with all the shots they show from above and that angle is the best way to show the whole pod.

There is a ceiling on the pods. There is a tiny covered camera in the ceiling, and a security type camera that the operator can move the angle of from the control room. There is also two manned cameras behind the two way mirrors. Since there are three mirrors and only two cameras, the contestants don't know what mirrors the cameras are behind at any certain time.

On the foxreality site,in the Solitary section, you can go inside one of the pods. I think there are two or three cameras in the room.
