I like the cast, which has some of my favourite actors and actresses.
shareI saw the trailer on www.unsecret-lefilm.com and I think it's definetly one to watch. I hope it will be released in the netherlands, so i can watch it with subtitles and not have to make an effort to understand it in French.
shareI just saw it today in the SF Bay Area. I thought it was beautifully made and very moving. Before today I had not heard of the book. It's impressive that such a compelling story is based on real characters and events. The cast was superb. I highly recommend you see it if you can.

shareSadly it sounds more interesting than what it is. Don't get me wrong, the movie ain't bad at all. Just that IMO lacks of... how to say it in english? "dramatic punch". At times the movie feels rather ordinary while at other times the story is really compelling. It's an uneven experience like most the films from Claude Miller that I've seen. They all are good but for one reason or another they always falls short of greatness.
The acting is quite good (Cécile de France is stunningly beautiful), same the production values, the story, as I said before, is not quite satisfactory.
