Silence is the more compelling film... deals more with the personal space... with the ideas of faith, doubt, community and duty... is very well made and cinematic...

Spotlight is a TV movie, that would have been better as a documentary... Worthy subject matter...

Silence is hardly about the institutions of religion... it is more about ideology, spirituality and morality... Spotlight is very much abiut institutions, process and politics...

The subject matter in Spotlight is covered by the culture and media mire extensively than the subject matter of Silence... Silence gives us a glimps into a world that is private and not shown often in our increasingly secular and aethiestic storytelling...
