Who cares if it is a remake as long as it is good......

I hate the sort of retarded Bollywood remakes where a typical masala director watches a foreign film and thinks 'how cool it would be to do a Bollywood version', without even understanding it - the worst example in recent times was probably 'Fight Club' - turning a psychological *beep* of the highest order into a joke, as everyone knew it would be even when it was announced - simply because Bollywood isnt mature enough to make a film that surreal for the mainstream.

Ram Gopal Varma on the other hand is a director who has proven himself in the past - if he can make a good remake, then I dont care if it is original or not - only if it is entertaining or not. Its not like source material isnt used over and over again by some of the best directors, so I dont know what the complaints are about.

Whoever told you to watch the HIndi version of FIght Club. Thinking of watching it, then actually watching it, then writing about it is testimony to you're absolute joblessness... What were expecting with that star cast?? Suniel shetty as tyler? Be sensible man. There are beautiful films out there waiting for you to watch them.. Why waste ur time on trash?

The Indian Fight Club isn't a copy or remake of the Hollywood Fight Club. The story is completely different. The only similarity is that they create a club for people to fight one another. And to justify ahead of time, I only saw it because I was at my cousin's house and they were watching it, because the movie was still crappy.

^ Intellectual Property and Plagiarism?? You obviously have no idea about the movie industry. A huge number of movies made in your beloved Hollywood are remakes or inspired by movies from other countries. Movies like Star Wars, A Fistful of Dollars, The Magnificent Seven and the list goes on and on. That's how the movie industry works.

Go have a cry about it you little girl.

As for RGV, not only are you a huge ignoramus, you must be blind as well, cos the very first scene of the movie was Ram Gopal Verma stating
"Like countless directors all over the World, I have been deeply influenced by "The Godfather". "Sarkar is my tribute to it."

No credit to Puzo and Coppola?? Are you really that daft, that when u see the words "The Godfather" the names Puzo and Coppola don't automatically pop into your head?

Dude, if he had to thank every single person who contributed to "the Godfather" that would have probably taken an hour of screen time.. Give credit where its due.. I know its not saying much but RGV is one of the best directors of popular cinema in india

Why is Sarkar 2 being made? The first one was bad enough....
I'm sure there will be the stupid "Govinda, Govinda" chant or loud music just to let us know when anything "important" is happening on screen, instead of meaningful dialogs.

RGV has made some excellent movies, but I hope he allows his Coppolla inspiration to show through movies like 'Company' and 'Satya', and not silly remakes of 'The Godfather'.

I wish everyone would stop calling these movies "remakes"! The movies are his own, "inspired" by "The Godfather". Just as countless gangster movies have been. "Satya" and "Company" were also inspired by "The Godfather". And there maybe no need to re-cast the young Don Corlene played by Deniro. Maybe there are no flashback scenes. And there are, why couldn't Abhishek play a double-role? This is bollywood, you know! The only thing that confuses me as how Aishwarya will fit into it. Chote Sarkar already let one girl go back to America and embraced the girl Bade Sarkar wanted him to marry! I'm thinking second wife or mistress.
