Is Aish the new Sarkar

This movie was too preachy. Too much dialogues.... I had to play back the dialogs again and again especially when the traitors were being revealed.

The last scene ' ek chai lao '. Is she the new Sarkar? Then Im not watching the 3rd sequel.

reply

no dumbass. it means she's Sarkar's new prodigee'.. something like that.
Actually it's been left ambiguous in a way .. well to me that is. Cuz that character of Chikoo .. Sarkar tells his wife to summon him .. that could mean he's the new prodigee/student whatever.. as opposed to what the last frame showed..
so it's either Aishwarya or Chikoo as the learner /taking Shankar's place.
And Amitabh remains the Sarkar.

reply

i think she is next in the line of succession (unless chikoo comes of age).
and i go with you. Sarkar is too honest and too people friendly.....i mean until something bad happens sarkar doenst do anything bad.....

reply

well think about your second comment.

Ofcourse he's too honest, and too people friendly. Man is of principles, has some strict character.. no wonder he is at that given power. His character isn't supposed to be doing bad.. after all he's no gangster... that's just a negative, cliched word .. he's more like someone who is in power, and people consult him and ask him for help. He's a good guy, with sound judgement, and trying to take into consideration everyone's needs and background so as to help the society.

Reminds me a lot of Jodie Foster's character in Inside Man. Although unlike Sarkar, she's quite the bitch.

reply

Great! A giant SPOILER ALERT would've helped man!

The new Sarkar will be Chikku when he comes of age. Until then Aish will handle things for Subhash.

reply

Ya right. Sarkar tells his wife to call Chiku from Nagpur.
So I think he will be the new sarkar in part 3...which should be definitely expected soon.

After everything she knows and has experienced? She's lost her dad too, so she's got nothing to lose.

reply

People fail to realise that Sarkar now repents every second of his remaining life because his son was punished for his crimes. The last thing he wants is get chikku involved and thus waste the last living member of his family(his wife doesnt count because all she ever does is cry).
iam assuming he wants chikku home so he can send him abroad where no one can harm him.

this ending is left for the viewers to interpret it. Yes, Ash might be handling the business until Chickoo comes of age. But think about it, what if the ending meant something totally different. What if, the director wanted us to say that Sarkar made a grave mistake on finding the killer. Maybe...all this while it was Ash's plan...just maybe it was her who did all this, just to get next in line. Wicked..that would be.

Aishwarya Rai is most probably the new Sarkar. Cheeku would be given all the necassary teachings merely until he is of age to handle affairs by himself.

The theory that maybe Aishwarya had Shankar killed, and that she's behind the entire machinations of destroying the existing Sarkar, is a ridiculous theory/ a long shot when the plot of this film is considered. After the perfect Rao Saab & corrupt politics ark, this would seem a pathetic element for the 3rd film. I'm sure Verma wouldn't be dumb enough to try poke fun at his audience's expectations a second time.

reply

I think they will make a 3rd movie about the grown up kid (the nephew), starring Andy Garcia

I believe Aish is the new consigliere taking over the role of Chandar. She will be supporting Sarkar as he begins to train his grandson. His grandson has already indicated that Shankar is his role model (prefers watch like Shankar not Sarkar) and this would also indicate that he would have similar values as Shankar.

My assumption for Sarkar 3 plot would be that Aish and the grandson would get together as a formidable modern couple who will learn from their predecessors mistakes.

reply

the final scene and her dialogue would imply that she was the new Sarkar. I was like wtf. Every second of the film was excellent up until that final line! Just wasnt apropriate in my opinion.

ok maybe i was being a little OTT but i still would have preferred a different ending. Its just there was no reason for her charactor to be made into a Sarkar (cos that is what was being implied). You know she was an outsider, an unknown, only with the family for what seemed like a few months and that was for business reasons aswell. Shes not really a love interest or a family member.
